In 2003, after conducting design work, a telephone network and computer network, fire safety and security alarm systems, video surveillance and warning systems, and television were installed in a reconstructed building, the first floors of which house many magazines and cafes - it is the most popular place of shopping and relaxation for Riga residents and guests alike, while the upper floors house a residential complex-hotel that offers apartments for long-term and short-term hire.
